The founder
A board-certified ophthalmologist and Doctor of Preventive Medicine — a clinician who has long pursued medicine that helps before illness begins.
Dr. Pae is a board-certified ophthalmologist and, at the same time, a researcher who earned a doctorate in preventive medicine. Meeting patients in the clinic, he kept returning to one question — “Beyond treating illness after it appears, is there something we can do before?”
That question led naturally to healthy aging. Studying the World Health Organization’s ICOPE (Integrated Care for Older People) framework in depth, he came to see longevity and elderly care not merely as clinical matters but as questions of everyday life. More than two decades of running a clinic and dedicating himself to community welfare gave this perspective its foundation.
He is a physician, but also a certified information-processing engineer and a certified social worker. Holding medicine, technology, and welfare together in one person is what allowed him to carry clinical depth into a product anyone can use in the palm of their hand.
In recognition of this work he has received several commendations, including a 2025 Commendation from the Minister of Health and Welfare. BioButt is the answer he has carried throughout his career — preventive medicine’s question, brought into everyday life for everyone.

A 35-year operator — Finance & Planning Director at Keumkang Inc., CFO of Swatch Group Korea, and Director of Group Strategy at Daebo Group. He currently leads Staff C&C and three affiliated companies, and brings credentials as a hospital-management diagnostician, turnaround specialist, and investment-fund GP to drive BioButt’s commercialization, fundraising, and operations.
A Korea-licensed attorney (Seoul National University Law) and New York State attorney. Drawing on service across government bodies — the Regulatory Reform Committee (MOTIE), the Presidential Commission on Sustainable Development, and the Ministry of Government Legislation — he designs BioButt’s data-privacy framework, digital-health regulatory strategy, and the legal foundation for public-sector partnerships.
